The International Arid Lands Consortium is mission to work towards improving the lives of people living in arid and semiarid regions of the world.
Along with New Mexico State University, the University of Arizona, the University of Illinois, South Dakota State University, Texas A&M Kingsville, Desert Research institute, Higher Council of Science and Technology, Jordon, R B Daugherty Water for Food Institute, and Jewish National Fund are the member Institutions.
IALC is currently working on:
- Strengthening JNK Faculty Fellows programs
- Develop a new guided professional program with a strong focus on water management * and sustainable development
- Facilitate student experiential group programs
- Scholarship for follow up travels for faculty wishing to go back to strengthen teaching, * research and outreach opportunities
